Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 29 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

George Springer, Astros (5,000): Springer has gone hitless in back-to-back games after putting together a seven-game hitting streak that featured five games of double-digit DK points. He’s in line to get back on track Friday against Detroit Tigers left-hander Matt Boyd (1-2, 4.63 ERA). The Astros’ leadoff hitter is batting .275 with a .569 slugging percentage against lefties this season.

Nelson Cruz, Mariners (4,900): Cruz is always a viable play against any left-handed pitcher, but that’s especially true when he’s facing Chicago Cubs southpaw Jon Lester (10-4, 3.09 ERA). Cruz is 11-for-28 (.393) with two doubles, one triple and three home runs against Lester in his career. That kind of production makes Cruz an elite option on Friday.

High Value

Alex Dickerson, Padres (3,500): Dickerson is now the Padres’ full-time left fielder following the trade of Melvin Upton Jr. to the Toronto Blue Jays, and it’s not a title he’s likely to relinquish any time soon. Dickerson is hitting .303 with five home runs and 13 RBIs in the month of July. His average against lefties (.313) makes him a solid play Friday against Cincinnati Reds southpaw Brandon Finnegan (5-8, 4.93 ERA).

Kendrys Morales, Royals (3,300): When bargain hunting, a good rule of thumb is to look for players that are hitting in the middle of their team’s order. The 33-year-old Morales fits the bill, as he’s cheap but still likely to bat cleanup Friday against Texas Rangers righty A.J. Griffin (3-1, 4.06 ERA). Morales is 3-for-8 with a home run in his career against Griffin.
