NFL Training Camp: When do Houston Texans start?
Looking at the Houston Texans training camp start date and where the team holds practice
The Houston Texans were one of the most active teams in the NFL this offseason making some huge additions on the offensive side of the ball to try and match their defensive prowess. However, as Texans training camp is gearing up, they’re going to be without their biggest weapon on either side of the ball as JJ Watt is out of action for all of the preseason and possibly even into the regular season.

Even without Watt, though, there is plenty of reason for Texans fans to be excited coming into training camp as many of their new additions will start to get some burn and will be able to start proving themselves.
Perhaps the most important addition to the Texans is at quarterback as they landed Brock Osweiler in free agency. While Osweiler is largely unproven, he’s going to be given the reigns in Houston and training camp will be the first glimpse at how he’ll handle that.
Moreover, the Texans also haver running back Lamar Miller and rookie wide receivers Will Fuller and Braxton Miller coming into the fold and there will indubitably be a lot of eyes on that trio and how they perform at training camp. All of this begs the question, though, of when Texans training camp starts.
Rookies reported to Texans training camp on July 25, but veterans will report on July 30 when full training camp at Houston Methodist Training Center in Houston, TX.
