Midwest Offense

  • QB: Russell Wilson
  • RB: Le’Veon Bell
  • WR: Allen Robinson
  • WR: Jordy Nelson
  • WR: Larry Fitzgerald
  • TE: Antonio Gates
  • LT: Joe Thomas
  • LG: Zack Martin
  • C: Travis Frederick
  • RG: Marshal Yanda
  • RT: Bryan Bulaga

The dual-threat ability of Russell Wilson at the quarterback position leads a strong Midwest offensive attack. Wilson’s ability to make plays with both his legs and arm certainly plays a huge role in how effective the Midwest’s offense could really be.

Having running back Le’Veon Bell in the starting line-up is also a huge win for them. Bell is the most-complete back in the NFL, showing a consistent ability to make plays as both a runner and a receiver out of the backfield.

Bell’s ability to keep the chains moving and being a strong option for Wilson out of the backfield would be huge for this team.

There were a handful of strong options to consider at the wide receiver position. Allen Robinson is a physical freak on the outside who would likely be this team’s number one option. However, Jordy Nelson making plays in the deep game and wily veteran Larry Fitzgerald doing what he does best out of the slot also makes this a powerful passing attack.

The tight end position was a tough decision to make. Young guys like Tyler Eifert and Travis Kelce were certainly considered for the starting spot, but it is hard to ignore the consistent impact that Antonio Gates makes on the field.

Gates would be an incredible security blanket, red zone threat and third down option for Wilson in this offense. With Fitzgerald, Gates and Bell making noise in the short passing game, and Robinson and Nelson stretching the field, Wilson should have plenty of receiving options to choose from.

The Midwest skill players are great, but the real strength of this offensive unit comes up front. These big and nasty Midwest offensive linemen led by left tackle Joe Thomas would completely dominate opposing defensive lines.

From left to right, Thomas, Zack Martin, Travis Frederick, Marshal Yanda and Bryan Bulaga is as best as it gets. They can absolutely dominate in the run game, consistently opening up lanes for Bell, and would be able to protect Wilson extremely well.

A very well-rounded group, this Midwest offense would undoubtedly be able to put up a ton of points.
