East Defense

  • DL: Aaron Donald
  • DL: Muhammad Wilkerson
  • DL: Chandler Jones
  • DL: Mike Daniels
  • LB: NaVorro Bowman
  • LB: Sean Lee
  • LB: Melvin Ingram
  • CB: Darrelle Revis
  • CB: Ronald Darby
  • FS: Devin McCourty
  • SS: Malcolm Jenkins

Led by an extremely talented defensive line, the East’s defense is much better than their offensive counter-parts. Aaron Donald is the best interior pass rusher in the NFL, and his ability to make plays up front would obviously be huge for the East.

Add in big and physical defensive linemen like Muhammad Wilkerson and Mike Daniels, and outside pass rusher Chandler Jones, and the East have an extremely strong group to build around up front.

Linebackers NaVorro Bowman and Sean Lee make up a strong veteran duo in the middle. Bowman is incredible against the run and Lee has the ability to make plays all over the field. Add in the pass rushing prowess of a guy like Melvin Ingram and the East has a solid linebacking unit.

The cornerback duo of Darrelle Revis and Ronald Darby is a nice combination of strong veteran and young player with upside. Revis is a stable as it gets at the position, but he is not quite the lock-down guy who he used to be. Darby was great as a rookie for the Buffalo Bills last season, and has massive upside at the position.

Devin McCourty is a stable free safety for the team, having the ability to clean up any mistakes that may be made, and make plays on the ball in the air. Malcolm Jenkins would probably play more in the box and helping defend receivers and tight ends out of the slot.

A solid overall unit who would be especially difficult to run against, the East’s defensive squad is pretty impressive. Not as talented as the Hall of Fame squad the South can throw out there, but at least comparable to the others.
