The Baylor football program has been in the news this year for all the wrong reasons.

The number of sexual assault allegations against players, along with coaches covering up the actions, led to Art Briles being fired and the athletic director and president resigning, and the entire school being under scrutiny for reportedly helping in the cover ups.

The football program, in particular, needs to have its players stay out of trouble, but some recent news shed some more negative light on the program.

Baylor offensive lineman Rami Hammad was arrested and charged with stalking on Monday, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald. Further, a female student complained to police about repeated incidents of physical abuse.

According to the affidavit, Hammad followed the woman and waited outside her class which led to her asking a professor for help to escort her from class. Then, the professor called 911 fearing for their safety after Hammad followed them to the office of the professor.

This is a truly horrifying incident that the student and the professor were faced with and is another black eye for a football program that could be subject to a death penalty from the NCAA for their handling of sexual-related offenses by football players.

Interim head coach Jim Grobe has suspended Hammad from all team activities.
