Johnny Manziel, who pledged that he would stay sober starting July 1st, reportedly is off the wagon after a night in L.A., according to the New York Post.

Every day, there are millions of Americans who are dealing with the day to day routine of deciding not to have a drink based on their past addiction to alcohol. It’s something that has affected many families and is a serious matter.
Though he hasn’t officially said that he is an alcoholic, currently unemployed quarterback Johnny Manziel fits all the criteria of someone with an addictive behavior. He has spent time in rehab before and told everyone who would listen that he was going to quit drinking for good come July 1st.
According to the New York Post’s famous Page Six, that sobriety didn’t last one month after a night out in L.A.:
"The troubled NFL player was spotted at Rock & Reilly’s Irish Pub in LA Saturday.“He was with a group of five and stayed for 25 minutes,” said a spy. “He had a ginger shot — a specialty drink with whiskey. And downed a rum and Coke.”"
Manziel was also seen leaving a different club in the city on Friday, caught on camera by TMZ Sports, where he talked about wanting to come back and play in the league:
Manziel’s attorney didn’t seem upset that the Post decided to run a story about Manziel having a setback:
"“If you are running a story on [his drinking], that’s pretty incredible…That’s the dumbest story I think I have ever heard.”"
Yes, stories on Manziel’s off field behavior have become second nature and just a normal day at work for sites like us here at FanSided, but maybe if the people around him (like his lawyer) did a better job at making sure he has a support group to help him fight the disease of addiction, we wouldn’t have to do these stories.
