Joel Embiid probably ranks toward the top of athletes that use social media. His references are on point and he always knows what to post to get people to socially engage with him online.

As a consumer advocate for social media, Embiid decided to share his thoughts on the brand new Instagram update.

For those that are unaware, Instagram’s new update has put out a thing called stories, which are a slideshow of the days events along with some other updates as well.

Regardless, Embiid is digging the new update and even let the world know that he will be sliding into DM’s a lot easier now.

The post is classic Embiid and while it remains to be seen if this update can increase the metrics for the social media giant, it’s clear that they have a fan. It’s quite similar to what Snapchat is currently doing, but provides yet another avenue for existing users.

Social media clearly comes naturally to Embiid as well as grabbing rebounds and blocking shots does.
