When Jeff Teague got traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the Indiana Pacers this summer one of the most important questions that needed an answer was if the Atlanta Hawks intense games of UNO would continue without their founder. Thankfully we seem to now have an answer thanks to Kent Bazemore who has taken the Hawks UNO love to a great new level by creating a UNO tournament to help benefit his own ARMS Foundation.

While there isn’t much information available about the tournament outside of it takes place

More from NBA

Sunday August 7th and has a 125 entry fee, it is nice to know that the Hawks love of the game won’t leave with Teague. One would imagine that Bazemore has talked a few of his Hawks teammates into playing in the tournament considering that he ordered a championship belt for the games that took place this season on the team plane. To win a charity tournament would probably mean more than winning the plane games.

It is also cool to see a player come up with another unique charity event. Proceeds will go towards Bazemore’s own ARMS Foundation. According to the ARMS website the goal of the foundation is to:

"develop and operate programs, activities, and facilities, namely recreational sports programs and basketball camps aimed at increasing the health status of children and young adults, wherever located, and/or benefiting underprivileged, less fortunate, and/or distressed children and young adults, wherever located."

The only question now is whether the game will follow the traditional UNO rules or Hawks rules, which are a way more intense version of the game.
