NBA star Blake Griffin recently did a 10-minute standup comedy routine which featured a lot of jokes about strippers.

Blake Griffin is an NBA All-Star, commercial spokesman, soon-to-be movie producer and a possible candidate to star in “Space Jam 2” the movie. Now it seems he’s adding firming up another job title on his resume: standup comedian.

The Los Angeles Clippers big man recently did a 10-minute long comedy routine at the Just for Laughs Montreal club (not the first time he had performed standup in front of an audience) . He talked about some athletes being “stupid,” and “post-game hair-dos” with other jokes including mentions of that strip club life. That’s an experience that quite a few NBA players past and present can identify with.

A video (NSFW) has surfaced on YouTube where someone recorded the entire comedy act. Griffin is introduced as “your host for the evening,” so he wasn’t really one of the main comedians, but he could be practicing for future show hosting gigs. As for comedy, some may tell him not to quit his day job, at least for the NBA season. However, the power forward from Oklahoma holds his own on stage after admitting that most people think athletes aren’t necessarily funny, but just stupid.

Blake has been among the rumored free agents that the Oklahoma City Thunder might be pursuing for a future season with fellow All-Star Russell Westbrook. Could these two end up teaming up on the basketball court and then providing some of the funniest interviews during media events? Quite possibly they could become the funniest duo in basketball.
