Full Madden 17 player ratings released
The full Madden 17 player ratings have been released and there aren’t many surprises at the top or throughout
The EA Sports Madden NFL franchise is obviously one of the most successful video game series in history. However, it stands in a different area of space than most video games for a number of reasons. Perhaps the biggest way in which Madden stands apart is simply in the fact that, rather than what the story is or how the game looks (though the latter is important), the biggest reveal of any Madden game is the player ratings.

Like they’ve done in recent years as well, EA Sports has been periodically releasing groups of Madden 17 player ratings with the top guys at each position and the top rookies. Now they’ve gone all out and released the full list of Madden 17 player ratings.
You can check out the sortable roster for the game on the EA Sports website here.
There are several things of note here looking at the Madden 17 player ratings. For one, there are only four players rated with top marks at 99 in Rob Gronkowski, Luke Kuechly, Von Miller, and J.J. Watt. Moreover, four of the five highest rated players in the game are on the defensive side of the ball.
Perhaps what stands out the most, though, is that there aren’t really any surprises among the Madden 17 player ratings. The best in the league are rated so, players with questions about them are docked a bit for that, and so on. Either way, we’ll see how accurate these ratings are once the NFL season and actual football begins.
