During Russell Westbrook’s press conference to announce he’s re-signing with the Thunder, he took a jab at Kevin Durant.

On Thursday, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Russell Westbrook held a press conference to announce Westbrook is re-signing with the organization on a three-year, $85.7 million deal. It comes after a tumultuous offseason, which saw Kevin Durant leave for the Golden State Warriors. Questions also surrounded whether Westbrook would stay with the Thunder, or leave after the 2016-17 season.

Westbrook and Durant don’t seem to be on great footing, especially after this presser. During it, a reporter asked if Durant leaving for Golden State made it ‘sting more’. The five-time All-Star gave an interesting response, which seemingly took a dig at his former teammate.

Westbrook doesn’t seem to be too distraught over Durant leaving, unless he’s just hiding it, for now. This one of a few subtle shots taken at the former NBA MVP, including on how they aren’t really speaking. A text to tell Westbrook that he was leaving was all that was noted in the presser. He said they’ll talk “eventually”.

What will be interesting is the first encounter between Westbrook and Durant in the regular season. All eyes will be on this moment, whenever it happens in the 2016-17 season. It will potentially be one of the biggest scenes of the year.
