Across 32 NFL cities, hope springs eternal…
(OK, maybe not in Cleveland)
While NFL training camps may not have the love and luster that MLB Spring Training has, this is still a glorious time for fans across the nation, and even the world to welcome football back with open arms once again.
Around this time of year, we all have the same questions and comments regarding the league and guys, I’m here to speak on your behalf.
You’re probably thinking it, I’ve just got the guts to say it.
OMG Joey Bosa, just get sign your contract and get in camp.
Look, I’m all for Joey Bosa getting paid but last time I checked he’s played in as many NFL games as me. You’ve gotta swallow your pride and just take the contract you’ve been given but playing this game of chicken with the Chargers, who are notorious for playing these games, is not a smart move. With holding out, you lose time on the field that could see your game progress and it might get some of the veterans who’ve been vocal about your contract dispute off your back.
For the love of God please don’t get hurt!!
Most of us football fans are paranoid around this time of year. The first few weeks of training camp and preseason are subject to freak injuries that end seasons, picks for fantasy drafts and sometimes Super Bowl dreams.
Anytime you see the words “carted off” or “grabbing his knee or grabbing his ankle” attached to a player on your favorite team or prospective fantasy football team, you should probably pray to whatever God you serve.
New faces in new places…
A year ago, Josh Norman was getting into a fight with Cam Newton and now he’s wearing a Redskins uniform?? The same Redskins team that Robert Griffin III was on back in 2015 before he was put out on the corner and picked up by the Cleveland Browns. Yes, that same Browns team that saw a mass exodus of free agents this past spring.
That’s just start of this strange thing we call NFL free agency….
Matt Forte is now wearing a Jets uniform
Martellus Bennett is added to the arsenal in New England
Brock Osweiler got paid a stupid amount of money by Houston for no reason at all
See, I told you NFL Free Agency is strange.

It’s not often that a player can take a league by storm without even playing game.
I mean lets think about this, he was picked fourth in the draft. Not saying that’s a bad thing, not at all but it’s much different when you get drafted to the Dallas Cowboys unlike the Rams or Eagles. Elliott’s engaging, seemingly friendly personality has caught on with fans, so much so that Elliott’s jersey is currently the number one selling jersey on NFLShop.com. Yes, a rookie is outselling Tom Brady and Von Miller, gotta love the Cowboys I guess.
Chip hasn’t gone back to college….yet.
While coaches change places all the time, nobody saw this coming. I mean did the 49ers not see what happened in Philadelphia over the last few seasons?!?! Chip Kelly tried to turn the Eagles into the Philadelphia Ducks and it failed but hey, Jed York thought it was a good idea so why not hire Chip. I mean, maybe this works. Maybe Chip can revive the once budding career of Colin Kaepernick and turn him into what Marcus Mariota was at Oregon.
Wether he can or not, this could be Chip’s last shot in the NFL and he’d better get it done here or back to college he goes.
From Super Bowl to Sanchez
Yeah, so which one of you picked Mark Sanchez to lead the defending world champions?
In the year of our lord 2016? None of you? Yeah, that’s what I thought.
While many are laughing about this transition from Peyton Manning to Mark Sanchez, I view it as a golden opportunity for the SoCal native to finally enjoy some success in the NFL without having the pressure of New York on his back.
Plus, Sanchez did have a higher passer rating than Peyton Mann – Oh who am I kidding this is a terrible decision. Going from Manning to Sanchez is like going from the Marriott to the Motel 6. Yeah, the light will be left on for you but so will the turnover machine, good luck Denver.
Maybe Von Miller can play both sides of the ball for you in 2016.
