It’s the summertime, the weather is hot and humidity takes its toll on everyone. When the exhaustion of repeatedly hitting the same guy continues to occur over and over in training camp, the blood boils and fights occasionally spill out.

For the New York Jets, it turns out that their two best players were the ones that decided to throw down and settle the score once and for all on the battlefield.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, Brandon Marshall and Darrelle Revis would have to be separated after getting into a fight during training camp.

While fights are a common thing for training camp, as August wears on and teams get tired of facing themselves, no one wants to see the top two players break out into a fight, let alone throwing punches.

They’re supposed to be the captains of the team and the ones that set the example for the younger guys on the roster. If they’re rolling around and trying to get the best of the other, then their first preseason game can’t roll around soon enough.

At the same time, it will probably all blow over and be forgiven soon enough.
