Every year the NFL season kicks off with the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony in Canton, Ohio. This year, the 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame class boasts one of the strongest yet and features some of the greatest influences on the game in history.

Brett Favre headlines a class that also features Dick Stanfel, Ken Stabler, Marvin Harrison, Orlando Pace, Tony Dungy, Kevin Greene and Eddie DeBartolo Jr.  Each of these individuals have contributed to the game in a significant manner and all are worthy of having their own bust and a gold jacket.

In fact, there were so many willing candidates to be selected for this year’s class, that there were some great players that weren’t able to crack the final list. Unfortunately, not everyone is still alive to get their honor, but their memory will continue to live on with the game forever.

There’s nothing quite like honoring the greatest to ever play the game and the time has come for these men to take their place among the greats.
