Drake brings out Derrick Rose on stage during show at Madison Square Garden, is probably a Knicks fan now
One of the biggest hip-hop acts in the world, Drake, performed at Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY on Thursday and Friday night and the arena was predictably packed. For the second show of this stop in his tour, though, Drake had a little something extra planned. During a break in his performance, the noted Toronto Raptors fan began shamelessly pandering to New York Knicks fans by bringing out one of their new stars: Derrick Rose.

Drake invited by Rose and Rose’ son (and mild-Internet celebrity) PJ out onto the stage and heaped compliments on the newly acquired Knicks guard, saying that he was Rose was “the reason he was staying on stage” on Friday night:
How many days until Drake is wearing a Knicks jersey?
Either 95 percent of the crowd couldn’t see who that was coming on stage or there were nothing but non-Knicks fans or Derrick Rose haters in attendance at the Drake show because that reaction when he came out was nothing but crickets.
We shall obviously see what happens with Rose and the Knicks in the 2016-17 NBA season, but there’s clearly a high variance in the possible outcomes. If he returns to form, it’s a masterful trade by Phil Jackson. If he continues to decline, it’s going to be a firestorm of sadness in the Big Apple. Either way, it’s going to be polarizing from the start—whether Drake is there or not.
