Giancarlo Stanton hit a baseball into orbit, launching a home run an unreal 504 feet on Saturday night

Giancarlo Stanton is 100 percent one of the biggest sluggers in all of Major League Baseball. Whenever he swings the bat, he swings with the intent to hit the ball a mile—or as far as possible. On Saturday night as Stanton and the Miami Marlins faced off with the Colorado Rockies, he almost succeeded in hitting the ball a mile.

With the game knotted up at 2-2 in the top of the fifth inning, the right-hander just let loose on a swing and made perfect contact. How perfect of contact did he make? Perfect enough to launch a baseball 504 feet for the home run:

".@Giancarlo818 just hit a ball 504 feet.We repeat – 504 FEET. https://t.co/UixlxnpMv4https://t.co/1ujRbqZQep— MLB (@MLB) August 7, 2016"

Just look how ridiculously far and how ridiculously hard he hits a baseball. That looks like some type of superhuman type of performance that shouldn’t be possible. However, that’s simply how Giancarlo Stanton swings the baseball bat virtually every single time that he steps up to the plate.

Seeing a 500-foot home run isn’t something you see everyday. In fact, the 504-foot jack makes it the just outside of the 10 longest home runs ever hit in the history of Major League Baseball. Obviously it’s also the longest home run of the 2016 MLB season as well.

Let’s just say that this Giancarlo Stanton guy might have a future hauling the lumber into the ballpark.
