How the heck can the NFL not make sure the field is ready for the hall of fame game? Wow

1 What a bush league situation.
2 Kudos for not putting professionals in harm’s way.
3 Should never, ever, ever have happened.
Feel bad for a lot of young players/backups missing out on a great opp. tonight to showcase their skills. #HOFGame https://t.co/qDAljEWGcQ

Unfortunate the game has been canceled. Player safety is key. We were very excited to play & honor the legends who came before us. #HOFGame

So, #Packers and #Colts got an extra week of practice without the risk of losing players to injury in an extra game. Not too bad, really.

The NFL Hall of Fame Game, set for Ohio, was to feature the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts playing on Sunday night with ESPN prepared to show the big matchup. The yearly Hall of Fame Game follows the NFL Hall of Fame inductions that take place a day prior.
However, due to the game’s cancellation for Sunday, football fans are forced to wait four more days for the official start of the NFL preseason. Thursday night will bring a variety of games, with more to come for Week 1 on Friday through the weekend.
Nonetheless, one has to wonder why the professional football league couldn’t make sure the field was fully ready for a game that had been planned months ahead of time. The cancellation has now taken away from fans’ enjoyment of the sport they love to watch, as well as potential playing time opportunities for certain players.
