Olympics Archery live stream for Monday, August 8. Archers will begin their quest for individual medals.

With the team competitions in the rear view, the archers in the 2016 Rio Olympics will begin their quest for individual medals. Monday marks the beginning of a five-day event, that will shave a 64 person field down to a gold medal winner. The women and men will both compete on Monday, as 20 archers will vie for a chance to be in the final 16.

Monday, five brackets of four archers in the men and women’s field will compete, with a sole winner coming out of each bracket. Those archers will then advance to the group of 16 on August 11th for the women, and August 12th for the men.

The women’s brackets are loaded on Monday, with the gold and silver medal winners from the 2012 London Olympics taking aim for their spot in the field of 16. Ki Bo-Bae of South Korea, who won the gold, will be taking on Shehzana Anwar from Kenya in his first round match, while Aida Roman of Mexico, who took home silver, will take on Alexandra Mirca of Moldova.

Both women are expected to advance to the field of 16.

During the men’s individual competition in the 2012 London Olympics, Oh Jin-hyek won the gold for South Korea, with Takaharu Furukawa winning silver for Japan. Dai Xiaoxiang took home the bronze. Only Furukawa will compete in Rio.

On the women’s side, aside from Bo-Bae and Roman winning the gold and silver, respectively, Mariana Auitia of Mexico won the bronze. Auitia will not compete in Rio.
