The fourth day of beach volleyball competition will be the six men’s and six women’s teams who played their first matches on Sunday. Round-robin pool play will last until August 11, when the fields are narrowed down to 18 teams apiece.

Team USA will be featured twice, with new partners Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena going for their second straight win at 10:00 a.m.. The duo will be taking on Juan Virgen and Lambardo Ontiveros, the first Mexican squad to qualify for the tournament in 16 years, who upset an Italian team on Sunday.

One the women’s side, Americans Brooke Sweat and Lauren Fendrick will look to rebound from a tough loss to Poland. That is going to be a major challenge, as they play medal favorites Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes of Brazil in front of what’s sure to be a loud home crowd at 3:30 p.m.
