As the last match of the 2016 Rio Olympic games group play draws near the two teams that are vying for second place in group E will play each other. Sweden is coming off of a huge loss to the first place team in group E, Brazil. They lost 5-1 to Brasil on Saturday night. The top two teams from each group will move on as well as the top two third placing teams as a whole. This is something that the Swedish team will be aiming for going into this match with China PR. Both teams are tied at 3 points and could be in that second or third place spot at the conclusion of this match. Sweden will need to take a new approach following allowing Brazil to score five goals on them.
China PR also lost their opening match to the dominate Brazil team. The are coming into this match after a win over South Africa on Saturday. After failing to qualify in 2012, they will be eager to make it to the quarterfinals this year.
It is possible that the loser of this match could make it to the quarterfinals, it would also depend on the outcome of the France vs. new Zealand match happening earlier in the day.
