FOX will go with seven broadcasting teams during the upcoming NFL season, with longtime sideline man Tony Siragusa being replaced as an analyst among the changes.

This season, the NFL will get to end their season in Houston, Texas as the city will host Super Bowl LI during the first weekend in February. Carrying that game will be FOX, broadcasting their eighth such game since acquiring broadcast rights to the NFC before the 1994 season.

For their 23rd season of broadcasting professional football games, the network announced the seven announcing crews that will be employed for the various games this season. Of course, the lead team of “Mr. Popularity” Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Erin Andrews will be the ones calling the Super Bowl and be the lead team all season.

As for the rest of the teams, there will be several changes as longtime analyst and sometimes bumbling fool Tony Siragusa has been shown the door and a former Detroit Lions linebacker joins the network:

"No. 1 – Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Erin AndrewsNo. 2 – Kevin Burkhardt, John Lynch and Pam OliverNo. 3 – Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston and Laura OkminNo. 4 – Thom Brennaman, Charles Davis and Peter SchragerNo. 5 – Chris Myers, Ronde Barber and Jennifer HaleNo. 6 – Dick Stockton, Chris Spielman and Kristina PinkNo. 7 – Sam Rosen, David Diehl and (rotating reporters) Shannon Spake/Holly Sonders"

Spielman comes over from ESPN/ABC, where he was one of the top college football analysts for the over the last decade, and joins the growing list of defections from the Worldwide Leader (including team No. 7’s reporter, Shannon Spake).

No word on if Siragusa will spend his free time now working on the sequel to his hit role in the movie 25th Hour – possibly titled “25:01” or something like that (pretty sure there isn’t going to be a sequel ever, but you never know).
