When will new Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade play his first game against the Miami Heat?

Earlier this offseason, shooting guard Dwyane Wade left the Miami Heat to sign with the Chicago Bulls. Wade spent the first 13 years of his career with the Heat and helped them win three championships.

He stuck with the team despite constantly being asked to take less money in order to stay. Seeing Wade in a Chicago Bulls uniform is going to be extremely weird. Watching him play against the Heat will be even weirder, almost like something out of The Twilight Zone.

So when will Wade play his first game ever against the Heat while wearing an opponent’s jersey? According to the recent NBA schedule release, the Bulls first meeting against the Heat is on November 10th.

That is also the first time that Wade will return to Miami as a member of the Bulls. One has to imagine that the Heat will honor Wade in some form considering that he is arguably their best player ever and how instrumental he was to their three NBA titles.

Wade is among the Heat’s career leaders in many categories. In his 13 seasons in Miami, Wade averaged 23.7 points per game and won the NBA scoring title during the 2008-09 season with 30.2 points per game. Wade also averaged 4.8 rebounds per game and 5.8 assists per game during his tenure with the Heat. He averaged 1.7 steals per game with the Heat. Wade made it to 12 All-Star games with the Heat and was named the 2009-10 All-Star Game MVP.

He also won the 2005-06 NBA Finals MVP award. Wade has been named twice to the All-NBA first team, thrice to the All-NBA second team, and thrice to the All-NBA third team. He has been named to All-Defensive second team three times. Wade is the Miami Heat’s all-time leading scorer.
