The 2016-17 NBA schedule has been released and the Golden State Warriors will finally know when they’re playing their toughest opponents.
All around sports, schedule release day has become like an annual holiday. Teams and fans get giddy in anticipation of where their favorite teams are going to be playing and they can’t wait to find out when and where they can start making their plans to see their favorite teams play. On Thursday, the NBA released the 2016-17 schedule and the Golden State Warriors found out when and where they will be playing their games this season.
The Warriors will kick off the season at home on Tuesday, October 25 at home against the San Antonio Spurs. This was the battle that everyone thought was going to be the Western Conference Finals last year, but the two teams never ended up meeting each other in the playoffs.
As for November, it’s a pretty road-heavy schedule for Golden State, but all should be winnable games. Circle November 18 on the calendars, as they will be traveling to take on the Boston Celtics. Last year’s road game in Boston went to double Overtime.
The Warriors will be on the road on Christmas Day and will be taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Coming off the sting of losing in the NBA Finals, it will be a great chance for the Warriors to get some much needed revenge. As for the return of Kevin Durant to Oklahoma City, that game will take place on February 11.
