Crystal Palace face West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Saturday. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Crystal Palace endured a horrible end to the 2015-16 season. After crumbling in the league (they won only twice after the turn of the year), they lost to Manchester United late in extra time in the FA Cup final. Manager Alan Pardew will be hoping for a quick start this season to put those bad memories behind his squad. He may have to do it without Yannick Bolasie, arguably Palace’s best player last season, who is reportedly close to a deal with Everton. He will also have to do without a proven center forward. Connor Wickham is the favorite to start up top on opening day, but the Eagles have been desperately searching for a more established option, with Christian Benteke heavily linked.

West Bromwich Albion had been having a predictably uneventful preseason before Chinese businessman Guochuan Lai purchased the club a week ago. That will give Baggies fans something to be optimistic about going forward, but for now they will have to settle for almost exactly the same squad as last season. Tony Pulis’ only signing so far is Matt Phillips, who should help the team creatively, but is not the most exciting name in the world. West Brom are also reportedly on the market for Benteke, so maybe the Belgian should be paying attention to this one.
