Olympics Archery 2016 live stream: Watch online – August 12

The archery events come to an end on Friday, as the men go for individual medals in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
On Friday, the men will go to battle to see who will bring home the gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics individual event. With a day off on Thursday, they should be ready to go on Friday, as a new gold medalist will be crowned. In the Round of 32, reigning gold medalist Kim Woo-jin was knocked out, clearing the way for a new champion.
The day will start off with the Round of 16, as eight matches will decide who goes to the quarterfinals. Number-two seed Brady Ellison will battle fellow American Zach Garrett, in what is sure to be the biggest matchup of the round. Six of the top-ten ranked archers are still alive for gold, including Japan’s Takaharu Furukawa.
Furukawa won the silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics, and he is a favorite to take the gold on Friday. He has breezed through the first two rounds of the competition, though he will face a solid archers in Spain’s Juan Ignacio Rodriguez in the Round of 16.
The biggest longshot is 41st-ranked Witthaya Thamwong of Thailand, who will have to beat eighth-ranked Jean Charles Valladont for a spot in the quarters. Thamwong has been the surprise of the tournament, so anything can happen.
