Following a long day of competition on Thursday with the women’s team epee, Olympic fencing continues Saturday with women’s team sabre.

Thursday’s fencing slate marked the beginning of the team events, starting with the women’s team epee. Team USA was represented by Courtney Hurley, Kelley Hurley, and Katharine Holmes, who squared faced off against South Korea in the fifth-place bout and won. It’s the closest the American women have been to a medal so far.
