Paul Pogba has been suspended by the FA for Manchester United’s opening match, meaning we will have to wait for his Premier League debut.
Manchester United made a lot of big signings in the summer transfer window, but the biggest one was undoubtedly that of Paul Pogba. The Frenchman has spent the past four years at Juventus, and has won everything at the domestic level, while internationally, he is just coming off an appearance in the Euro 2016 Final.
Pogba is one of the best players in the world at 23, and he believes that United is the club that can take him to the next level as far as winning the Champions League. Great things are ahead of Pogba at his new (old) club, but fans who are eagerly anticipating his debut will have to wait a little longer.

The FA has handed out suspensions to four players for the opening week of the Premier League season, and Paul Pogba is among them:
It seems odd that Pogba would be suspended already before he has even played in the Premier League. The cause of his suspension isn’t something that happened four years ago, when he last wore a United shirt, but rather an offense he committed in the Coppa Italia while playing for Juventus.
Make of that what you will.

Of course, Pogba isn’t the only United player who has been suspended to start the season. They will be missing Chris Smalling for the opening three matches, but they won’t miss him as much given that they bought Eric Bailly in the transfer window.
United’s opening match will be against Bournemouth. They are playing away, but should still be heavily favored to win. And if it’s any consolation for United fans, this suspension means Pogba will officially make his debut in a Red Devils shirt this season in front of the Old Trafford faithful.
