Friday featured five NFL Preseason games, including Robert Griffin IIIās debut in Cleveland. Here is a wrap up of NFL news for Friday.
Week 1 of the NFL Preseason schedule is in full force, with five more games being played on Friday. The Cleveland Browns unveiled their new quarterback on Friday, as Robert Griffin III made his Browns debut against the Green Bay Packers. He did not play well, throwing for 67 yards on 4 of 8 passing. Like he usually did with the Washington Redskins, he also threw an interception, so it was definitely a shaky start to his Browns career.
A former Cleveland Browns starting quarterback has become a troubled figure, as Johnny Manziel appears far from being an NFL player. Manziel had recently said he would like to play for the Dallas Cowboys, although he did say it when he was leaving a club. Despite the Cowboys lack of depth at the position, they say there is no way Manziel will be sporting the star on his helmet any time soon.
In other quarterback news, the Buffalo Bills signed Tyrod Taylor to an extension on Friday. The deal was a huge commitment for the organization, as his new deal is a 6yr/$92 million dollar extension. Taylor was a Pro Bowler in 2015 and showed flashes that he could be a franchise quarterback. Hopefully, for the Bills, he does not perform the way Ryan Fitzpatrick did when he got his big deal from Buffalo in 2011.
The New York Giants kicked off their 2016 preseason slate on Friday, but they probably wish they could have had their game cancelled. The Giants saw both of their top picks leave due to injury on Friday night, as both Eli Apple and Sterling Shepard had to leave the game. Neither of the two players returned from their injuries, so hold your breath Giants fans.

Seriously, how good is A.J. McCarron? Eventually, he is going to be a starter in the NFL, but, for now, he is the backup to Andy Dalton in Cincinnati. On Friday, McCarron took the majority of snaps in the Bengals preseason opener, and he was fantastic. McCarron went 11 for 16, threw for 125 yards, and had a touchdown pass. He will definitely have a lot of offers when his contract with the Bengals expires.
