Despite a rumored invite to perform at Super Bowl LI in Houston next year, Adele has declined any invitation to perform during the game’s halftime show.

If you were hoping that Adele was going to be the one to follow Bruno Mars and Beyonce’s awesome performances from Super Bowl 50 this past February, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Despite the rumors from The Sun that the NFL was “desperately trying to land” Adele for next year’s Super Bowl, the British megastar has decided not to perform during the halftime show.

At a recent concert in Los Angeles during her world tour, Adele told the crowd that the NFL did reach out to her, but that she will not be singing during the halftime spectacle.

If you had trouble hearing what she said, here’s a quick transcript:

"“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really — I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no.”"

She does have a point. The woman can sing her lungs out, but when it comes to the actual performance that includes some dancing, she’s no Beyonce.

But, you can draw some curiosity out of another artist or two potentially getting her to perform in a quick cameo during a song during the show. It’s not like the NFL is in a rush. The game’s not for another six months or so and the 2016-17 season doesn’t start for another month itself.

Adele is currently in the midst of her North American leg of her world tour with stops that include Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Nashville, Miami and Dallas just in the United States alone.

She does make a two-night stop in Houston in November, so maybe fans at those performances can talk her into it.
