A look at the EPL table after the first two days of Premier League action.

After a busy day of the Premier League on Saturday, there were only two games on Sunday. But they were two big games as Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United took the pitch for the first time, while Arsenal and Liverpool faced off in the marquee match of Week 1.

Despite not having Paul Pogba, Manchester United raced out to a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was at the heart of it, being everywhere on the pitch while scoring a superb goal to make it 3-0.

Arsenal vs. Liverpool was a classic for the neutrals, but a nightmare for the home supporters. Four unanswered goals by Liverpool led to boos and calls for Arsene Wenger to be fired. Arsenal made it interesting by getting the game to within one, but it wasn’t enough.

And with that, here’s a look at the updated EPL table. Only two teams – Chelsea and West Ham – have yet to play, and they will square off on Monday:

For Arsenal fans, it’s got to suck seeing them in 15th place, and below Swansea City. But if there’s any consolation, it’s that they’re 1-7 in their opening matches; they’ll bounce back from this one.

Meanwhile, Manchester United fans have reason to celebrate after they put in a great performance to go top of the league. Even though Bournemouth isn’t a top team, the players have already bought into Mourinho’s system, and are playing with the same fluidity that they had under Alex Ferguson.

Given their busy summer, there won’t be a team that will come under more scrutiny than Man U. But they’ve passed their first test, and anyone who plays them will have to bring their A-game.
