Tim Tebow would make a great heel in WWE according to current superstar and Intercontinental Champion The Miz
The world is Tim Tebow’s oyster these days. Once a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback turned NFL quarterback turned ESPN on-air personality, Tebow is now attempting to venture into the world of professional baseball. However, this has led to many people speculating about what else could be on the horizon for Tebow. If you as current WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, he’ll tell you that Tebow-mania should start working his way towards WrestleMania.
On Monday with WWE SummerSlam 2016 less than a week away, The Miz appeared as a guest on ESPN’s Sportsnation (Video per Wrestlezone). While discussing various topics, Miz brought up the always-relevant Tebow. The Miz stated that, if Tim Tebow is trying out other sports, WWE should be his next stop.
Miz didn’t stop there, though, as he’s apparently been fantasy booking Tebow for a bit. In the mind of the IC champ, Tebow would be a fantastic heel in WWE saying that he’d be hated by the fans and be a bad guy because he’s “so good.”
Imagine for a second a tag team featuring Tebow and Bo Dallas with the latter doing his “Bo-Lieve” gimmick. Think about two guys who, in a vacuum, are just trying to be positive and optimistic about everything to excess. That would be pure gold material in the realm of WWE and pro wrestling. So in regards to Tim Tebow: top-level WWE heel, Miz is 100 percent correct.
Also in fairness to The Miz’s assertions, there’s a long history of former football players in WWE and professional wrestling. Hell, one of the top guys in the company in Roman Reigns is a former defensive end from Georgia Tech. So the notion of Tebow in WWE isn’t that far-fetched.
However, it’s not going to happen anytime soon, if ever. However, The Miz and wrestling fans can always dare to dream.
