Live stream info and how to watch the Olympics men’s handball matches to end the preliminary round on August 15 online

If you thought that there had already been drama in the Olympics men’s handball competition from Rio 2016, you haven’t seen anything yet. On Monday, August 15 on Day 10 of the Games, the final six games of the preliminary round will be played. As such, there are seeds, spots in the quarterfinals, and more still to be decided.

Match Day 5 in men’s handball begins with two matches out of Group B, starting with Poland vs Slovenia at 8:30 a.m. ET. Both teams currently sit in the top-four, but Slovenia still has hope of finishing atop the group while Poland needs a win for assurance. Germany vs Egypt will be up next at 10:30 a.m. ET. A win for Egypt might mean advancing to the quarterfinals, but a win for Germany secures the top seed out of the group. So what unfolds should be quite compelling.

France vs Denmark face off at 1:40 p.m. ET with the top spot in Group A on the line. Simply, the winner gets eight points and the group victory. It’ll be back to Group B at 3:40 p.m. ET with Sweden vs Brazil. Sweden has already been eliminated from quarterfinals contention, but Brazil can improve their seed if things break their way. But first, they’ll need to avoid a misstep.

Croatia will face Tunisia in Group A at 6:50 p.m. ET as the latter is all but already ousted. However, Croatia could move into the two-seed with a win and they’ll certainly be vying for that. The final matchup between Qatar and Argentina at 8:50 p.m. ET in a battle essentially for the fourth and final spot to advance. It’s win or go home for these two teams, drastically raising the stakes.
