The latest information on the Olympic boxing live stream for Monday, August 15 from Rio de Janeiro.
On Monday, the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics boxing action will continue live from Brazil with a full slate of exciting matches coming up. It’s Day 10 of the competition with medals still up for grabs in various weight classes.
In men’s welterweight action, it’s the semifinals on Monday. In the earlier matchup at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time, Mohammed Rabii of Morocco takes on Shakhram Giyasov of Uzbekistan. Later on, France’s Souleymane Cissokho will battle Kazakhstan’s Daniyar Yeluessinov at 5:30 p.m. ET.
The women’s lightweight and men’s middleweight quarterfinals will take place on Day 10. Also, the Round of 16 for the men’s flyweight goes down from 10:30 a.m. ET through 5:15 p.m. ET to advance fighters to the quarterfinals stage.
Among the boxers in action will be Antonio Vargas of the United States taking on Shakhobidin Zoirov of Uzbekistan at 10:45 a.m. ET, and Great Britain’s Muhammad Ali battling Yoel Finol of Venezuela at 11 a.m. ET.
The biggest match of the Day 10 schedule will be the finals for the men’s heavy category of 91kg. Competing for the gold medal will be Russia’s Evgeny Tischen against Vassiliy Levit of Kazakhstan. To get to this point, Tischchenko defeated Rustam Tulaganov of Uzbekistan in the semifinals. Levit reached the finals with a victory over Cuba’s Erislandy Savon.
