Medal count and full results for the 2016 Rio Olympics fencing competition; Team USA finishes with four medals.

Olympics fencing concluded its run at the 2016 Rio Olympics Sunday, as Team USA finished with four medals: in the men’s individual foil (silver), men’s individual sabre (silver), men’s team foil (bronze) and women’s team sabre (bronze).

Alexander Massialas and Daryl Homer finished close competitions in their respective individual matches, but neither could muster gold. The men’s team foil squad was made up of Gerek Meinhardt, Miles Chamley-Watson, Alexander Massialas, and Race Imboden.

The only medal that the United States women were able to take home was the bronze in women’s team sabre. That team was made up of Mariel Zagunis, Dagmara Wozniak, Ibtihaj Muhammad, and Monica Aksamit. The only other time the women were close to a medal was in the women’s team epee event, where sisters Courtney and Kelley Hurley and teammates Katharine Holmes and Katarzyna Trzopek reached fifth place.
