Olympic badminton live stream: Watch online – August 17

Day 7 of Olympic badminton action in Rio de Janeiro will feature quarterfinals in the Men’s Singles and the Mixed Doubles final. Here’s how to watch it online.
Olympic badminton will begin its seventh day of action at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Only two of the five events will see action at Riocentro on Wednesday: the quarterfinals in the Men’s Singles and the Mixed Doubles Gold medal match between Indonesia and Malaysia.
The Men’s Singles Quarterfinals begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. local time (7:30 a.m. ET) and will feature the following four matches: The top-seed, Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei, will take on No. 8 seed Chou Tien Chen on Taiwan at 8:30 a.m. local time. No. 3 seeded Lin Dan of China will face No. 6 Srikanth Kidambi at 9:20 a.m. local time.
No. 4 seeded Son Wan Ho on South Korea will meet No. 5 seeded Chen Long of China at 10:10 a.m. local time. No. 2 seeded Viktor Axelsen of Denmark will square off with No. 7 seeded Rajiv Ouseph of Great Britain at 11:00 a.m. local time to finish up the Men’s Singles Quarterfinals action from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
After seeing an All-Chinese Bronze Medal match the night before in the Mixed Doubles, Indonesia’s Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir will face Malaysia’s Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying for Olympic Gold. The Mixed Doubles Final begins at 11:50 a.m. local time.

USA will be airing Olympic badminton for much of the morning on Wednesday, starting at 9:00 a.m. ET. From 9:00 a.m. ET to 10:00 a.m. ET, it will be all badminton, all the time on USA. The enigmatic Johnny McEnroe of badminton, China’s Lin Dan, will be playing in the Men’s Singles Quarterfinals.
USA will then pick up Olympic badminton for a second time on Wednesday morning with some more action in the Men’s Singles Quarterfinals at 11:45 a.m. ET, airing in conjunction with a semifinals match in Women’s Water Polo between two yet to be determined opponents. That will be on the air until 1:30 p.m. ET.
For a third and final time on Wednesday, USA will pick up Olympic badminton at 3:15 p.m. ET to air the Mixed Doubles Final between Indonesia and Malaysia. During that time, USA will also show a bronze medal match in Men’s Team Table Tennis and early action in the first day of Olympic taekwondo.
