Live stream info and how to watch the Olympics boxing from Rio 2016 on Wednesday, August 17 online

One day after Brazil watched one of their own win a gold medal in Olympics boxing at Rio 2016, there’s still more action yet to go down in the ring. For Day 11 of the Games on Wednesday, August 17, there will be three medal fights. That includes two women’s semifinals in the lightweight division and the men’s welterweight final bout. What we can say for certain is that fans are in for a treat.

The two women’s semifinals matches will start out Wednesday’s slate of Olympics boxing matchups. In the first starting at 1 p.m. ET, Finland’s Mira Potkonen will face China’s Junhua Yin for the right to go to the gold medal bout in the women’s lightweight division. This should be a fantastic little match as both of these women have been moving and working well in the ring up to now. The second semifinal will see Anastasiia Beliakova of Russia go toe-to-toe with Estelle Mossely of France. Just like in the first bout, it’s been fun watching these two women get to this point in the competition.

There will be several quarterfinal bouts throughout the day following the lightweight semifinals. Four quarterfinal bouts in the women’s middleweight division will take place while four more will go in the men’s flyweight. This too should bring action that boxing fans will love.

Olympics boxing will then come to the close at the end of the day with a massive gold medal bout. It’ll be Shakhra Giyasov of Uzbekistan and Daniya Yeleussinov facing off in that bout chasing Olympic glory. Who knows at this point what we’re going to see in this bout after Giyasove has already been bloodied in a previous fight. However, we can tell you to expect high drama on Wednesday as you should with any stakes that are this big.
