Everything that you need to know to watch the Bengals at Lions matchup in the 2016 NFL preseason online

Week 2 of the 2016 NFL preseason has arrived and the regular season is now so close that you can almost taste it. However, there are still kinks that all 32 teams in the league are still trying to work out and things that every coach still wants to see from certain guys. That’ll certainly be the case on Thursday at Ford Field as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Detroit Lions for a little preseason showdown.

Andy Dalton and the Bengals have big hopes once again for their team and their playoff chances. Since Dalton’s arrival and development under Marvin Lewis, this team has been a dangerous postseason threat basically like clockwork. Now he’s armed with new weapons like rookie receiver Tyler Boyd, who Cincinnati will be looking to see more great things from on Thursday night. Moreover, they’d certainly enjoy seeing their defense continue to shine and display the depth that’s made them so dangerous.

For the Lions, they’re still trying to establish their identity in the wake of Calvin Johnson’s retirement. That onus falls heavily on Matthew Stafford offensively, but also on DeAndre Levy and the defense as well. Detroit fans and the Lions coaching staff will be hoping that some new faces can impress and step up to try and make this team some type of relevant once again.
