The women’s volleyball tournament resumes on Thursday at the 2016 Rio Olympics with the semifinlas, where the matchups for the medal rounds will be determined.
Team USA will look to continue a run toward its first-ever gold medal with a win against Serbia at noon Eastern in the first semifinal of the day. The United States is a perfect 6-0 on the tournament so far and was only taken to five sets once in pool play by the Netherlands.
Serbia has been one of the surprises of the tournament after finishing third in Pool B with 11 points and sweeping Russia in the quarterfinals. The two teams met in the third match of pool play, with the United States winning in four sets.

China and the Netherlands will both look to continue their unlikely runs in the other semifinal at 9:15 p.m. Third-ranked China disappointed in pool play with just seven points, but shocked Brazil in a five-set quarterfinal victory.
The Dutch are the most surprising team in the semifinal after finishing second in Pool B with 11 points. Their tournament began with a five-set win over China to begin pool play.
