South Dakota

South Dakota has a fairly strong Mount Rushmore considering how small of a state it is.

Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant WWE wrestlers and MMA fighters of all time. He once tried out for the Minnesota Vikings. Lesnar has a career 6-3 record in the UFC and is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion. He was also a national wrestling champion at the heavyweight division in college. In the WWE, Lesnar is a four-time Champion and remains one of the WWE’s biggest draws.

Manager Sparky Anderson won three World Series. He managed the “Big Red Machine” Reds from 1970 to 1978 and the Detroit Tigers from 1979 to 1995. Anderson was also named the American League Manager of the Year twice. He retired with a 2,194–1,834 record. His 2,194 wins are sixth all-time for a manager.

Billy Mills is famous for winning the 10,000m run at the 1964 Olympics. Mills became the second Native American runner to win an Olympic gold medal. He starred at the University of Kansas as a three-time All-American in cross country. Mills is the first American runner to win the 10,000m competition in the Olympics.

Frank Leahy won five national titles at the University of Notre Dame. He had an 87-11-9 record with the Fighting Irish.
