David Ortiz has had an impressive career, but he is still not at the same level as Boston Red Sox outfielder Ted Williams. While Williams didn’t win any World Series with the Red Sox, he was the most dominant player in the league while playing for them for roughly a decade. It would have been even longer had he not served in World War II.

Bill Russell helped pioneer the center position in the NBA. He was the dominant, unstoppable force of the 1960’s Celtics. Russell helped the Celtics win an unheard of 11 NBA titles and was named the league MVP five times.

Tom Brady‘s legacy in Boston will always be a great one. Brady has been a winner since his second season in the NFL when he took over as quarterback from Drew Bledsoe. Since then, he has led the Patriots to four Super Bowl titles and three other Super Bowl appearances.

Bobby Orr forever changed how defensemen played the game of hockey. Orr led the league in points twice and won an unprecedented eight Norris Trophies. The Bruins defenseman is arguably the best hockey player of all time.
