Todd Gurley II is arguably the best running back in the NFL, and on Saturday, he found the end zone in Los Angeles for the first time.
The Los Angeles Rams are back in the NFL, as the franchise moved from St. Louis this off-season. The franchise pulled the trigger on a huge trade to move up in the 2016 NFL Draft, where they selected quarterback Jared Goff. While Goff may be a ways away from starting for the team, they have the kind of running back that can turn around a franchise himself.
Todd Gurley II is arguably the best running back in the NFL. Gurley had an incredible rookie season in 2015, rushing for over 1,100 yards in only 12 starts. In 13 total appearances, the young back scored ten touchdowns, and was named the 2015 AP NFL Rookie of the Year.
On Saturday, Gurley made his Los Angeles Coliseum debut, as the Rams faced the Kansas City Chiefs in their second preseason game. The star back wasted no time showing the Rams fans what they can expect this year, scoring a touchdown with 5:13 left in the first quarter. The score gave the Rams a 13-0 lead, and had the fans in a frenzy.

No matter who the Rams put behind center in 2016, the organization knows they have a stud at running back. Gurley excelled last season despite the Rams having the worst passing attack in the NFL, and there is no reason he won’t do the same this season.
Goff is probably a year away from being a serious threat under center, so it should be a heavy does of Gurley this season in Los Angeles. If Gurley can stay healthy for a full season, he should challenge for his first rushing title in 2016. The Rams hit the jackpot with Gurley in the 2015 NFL Draft, and they are hoping that Goff has the same affect he did.
