Tottenham face Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane on Saturday, August 20. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Tottenham struggled early against Everton in the opening game of the season — a lack of possession and an inability to feed Harry Kane had Spurs reeling and down a goal. That is, right up until Erik Lamela headed home the equalizer, after which Tottenham looked much more cunning and confident in attack. Lamela figures to play an enormous role for Spurs this season, and he got off to a great start. Kane is still looking for his first goal of the season, and he will look to take advantage of a much less impressive backline than the one he faced last week. Mauricio Pochettino, fresh off a complaint about the length and start date of the Premier League season, will hope to rally his squad to their first win of the season.

Crystal Palace looked lost against West Brom, giving up a senseless free kick and failing to capitalize on the opportunities they did manage to create. For all his effort, Connor Wickham was punchless in attack. With Christian Benteke reportedly on the way from Liverpool, Wickham may have only this match to prove his worth as a starter to the Eagles. Even an impressive showing may not be enough to save his place in Alan Pardew’s starting XI. Palace will have to look to exploit Tottenham on the counterattack, with Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha looking to push the pace on the wings.
