Olympics volleyball 2016 live stream: Watch online – August 21
Here’s how to watch the men’s volleyball medal matches on Sunday at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The men’s volleyball tournament concludes on the final day of the 2016 Rio Olympics with the bronze and gold medal matches.
Italy will meet Brazil in front of what’s sure to be a pumped-up crowd in the gold medal match at 12:15 p.m. Eastern. The two teams met in the fifth match of pool play, with Italy taking down the hosts in four sets.
After impressively winning a tough Pool A, the Italians swept Iran in the quarterfinals and came from behind to beat the United States in a dramatic semifinal. Italy has two silver medals in its Olympic history but is yet to win a gold.
Brazil has turned it on in the past few matches following a shaky start to pool play. The hosts beat Argentina in a charged quarterfinal before sweeping Russia to earn their fourth straight trip to the gold medal game.
Team USA will be in action against Russia at 8:30 a.m. in the bronze medal match. The Americans had won four straight matches prior to the heartbreaking loss to Italy. Russia has won a medal in four straight Olympics including the 2012 gold, while the Americans had three golds and two bronzes in Olympic play.
USA Network will have coverage of the bronze medal match, while NBC will show the gold medal contest. Full details for the men’s volleyball medal matches are below.
