A look at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view match card.
WWE SummerSlam will see plenty of big matches occur. Multiple titles will be on the line from Raw and SmackDown. Plus, an inter-promotional bout will be seen between two of WWE top stars.
The Raw vs. SmackDown match features Brock Lesnar facing Randy Orton. This match was the first one created for SummerSlam, two days before The Beast Incarnate’s UFC 200 fight. Build has taken place in the weeks since, including Lesnar invading SmackDown and Orton showing up at Raw. It should be noted that Brock hasn’t lost a match since WrestleMania 29, so could SummerSlam 2016 be the night this streak ends?
Sasha Banks will defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte. This feud has lasted for nearly two months, which featured The Boss winning the title from The Nature Girl on the first post-Brand Extension episode of Raw. Who will walk out with the title in this anticipated rematch?
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of New Day will defend the WWE Tag Team Championships without Big E, who is out with a groin injury. They will be left to deal with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Can The Club defeat Kingston and Woods at the same venue and show that they won the belts at one year prior?
With this in mind, here’s a look at the SummerSlam match card.
