WWE SummerSlam 2016 results: Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton full video highlights
Results and full highlights from Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2016
Despite being drafted to separate brands, the disdain between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton wasn’t hard to ascertain coming into WWE SummerSlam 2016. These two had come into WWE together, but had grown to hate one another over the years. That all led to what was sure to be a hard-hitting, grueling battle in Brooklyn.
While the very start of this match featured these two veterans feeling one another out, the action started quickly. Lesnar bull-rushed Orton and got him into the corner. From there he started hitting him with his wicked shoulder tackles. When he went for a suplex, though, Orton held onto the rope. He then countered with an elbow and dropkick. He tried for a quick RKO, but was stifled.
Getting stopped on the RKO turned out to be a bad moment for Randy as Brock then started to get back to his gameplan of old. Lesnar unleashed four straight German suplexes and Orton looked to be fading fast. Even in between suplexes, Orton was in the corner getting beat down as a prelude to the next German.
Brock was then just stalking prey like the Beast that he claims to be. He sent Orton to the outside and slowly walked to him. He threw him over an announce table, went to the other side to get him, and then proceeded to put him through the same table. Needless to say, Randy Orton was left in a bad way when Lesnar rolled him back into the ring. Of course, it was only another suplex awaiting him between the ropes.
Lesnar again took the fight to the outside, looking to put Orton through another table. As he tried, though, Randy came to life to hit an RKO. When Brock then tried to get back in the ring, Orton then landed his hanging DDT and looked for another big RKO. Shockingly enough, he landed it. It almost had Brock Lesnar out, but he just kicked out before three.
Looking to capitalize, Orton set Lesnar up for the rarely used Punt. However, The Beast popped up and somehow exploded for an F-5. Somehow that wasn’t enough to put Randy away—but it was enough to anger Brock. He started throwing vicious elbows and punches that left Orton a bloody pulp. When it was just too much, they called the match.
Brock Lesnar was announced the winner by TKO, but his night wasn’t over. He then continued the assault of Randy Orton. When Shane McMahon came out to try and stop him, even he wasn’t safe as he too ate an F-5. That’s how the show went off the air.

That looked bad for Orton in a very, very bad way. Moreover, are they setting up something for Shane and Lesnar despite being on different brands? I suppose we’ll have to wait and see.
