MLB Awards Watch: The wild, jam-packed race for NL Cy Young

With fewer than six weeks remaining in the 2016 MLB season, there is plenty to be excited about in the baseball world. At least three division races are (theoretically) in play as September approaches, and that does not even begin to discuss the always entertaining Wild Card pursuits in both leagues. On the individual side, there are a few award chases that are basically in the bag right now, but the majority of the contests are set to be hotly contested in September, and that will be a lot of fun to monitor.

Today, our task is to bring an update on the MLB award pushes as they currently sit. Let’s get it started with the NL Rookie of the Year.
