We’re at the time of year where we get a look at some of the alternate uniforms coming in college football, and Nebraska may have outdone themselves
College football season is so close that we can literally taste it, with the full slate of regular season games beginning this weekend. With this being the case, we’re starting to get a look at some of the amazing alternate uniforms that some of the programs will be wearing, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are the latest.
And boy, did they ever really outdo themselves with this one, at least in the eyes of this college football editor, that’s for sure.
On Tuesday we were able to get a glimpse of the “ice cold” white alternate uniforms that the team will be wearing when they take on Northwestern later this year, and needless to say, they were a pretty big hit.
Now when it comes to alternate uniforms in college football, everyone has their own opinion. As with a lot of others that have been released in the past, not everyone that sees them is going to be a big fan. But really, when you look at this amazing combination, there have most certainly been a lot worse throughout the years.

Nebraska definitely made a statement with these uniforms on Tuesday, but they’ll be looking to make more of a statement on the field this coming season. They finished just 6-7 on the year, however, they were able to get a win in the Foster Farms Bowl over a very good UCLA team. Despite the bowl win, this Nebraska team wants to make more of a statement in the Big Ten, hopefully earning a trip to the Big Ten title game representing the West.
We don’t know if they can win the conference just yet, but they most certainly are winning the alternate uniform game at the moment.
