We give you all of Monday’s NFL news in one tidy roundup.

Big news out of Denver. The Broncos will start Trevor Siemian during their Week 3 preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams. The third preseason game is usually the dress rehearsal for the regular season, as the fourth game is used to make final cuts. With the Broncos handing the keys to Siemian, it looks like Mark Sanchez’s fumbles finally caught up to him. He had two huge fumbles in the Broncos last preseason game, both coming inside the red zone.

Desperate for help in their secondary, the Indianapolis Colts signed former New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie to a one-year deal on Monday. Their secondary has been decimated by injuries this preseason, and they have gotten no pass rush up front. Cromartie was released by the Jets back in February, and drew little interest from around the NFL. He worked out for the Colts on Monday, and was quickly signed afterwards.

The San Diego Chargers have been locked in a contract battle with 2016 First Round pick Joey Bosa since they selected him, and it appears they will head into the season without him. Head coach Mike McCoy said the team is prepared to start the season without Bosa, who was moved from third to fourth string on the depth chart Monday. Bosa was a star at Ohio State, but has had issues with the wording of his contract from day one. The Chargers open up against AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.

Colin Kaepernick is back for the San Francisco 49ers, and is expected to play in the team’s regular season dress rehearsal on Friday. Kaepernick had been battling arm fatigue throughout training camp, giving Blaine Gabbert the opportunity to grab the starting job. Despite not turning the ball over, Gabbert has not looked good under center, and now head coach Chip Kelly has a decision to make. His arm appears to be back to normal, and he will likely be the team’s starter in 2016.

Finally, some sad news out of California. Former Los Angeles Raiders quarterback Todd Marinovich has hit rock bottom. The former first round selection of the Raiders has battled drug addiction his whole life, and on Monday, was found naked with drugs in someone’s backyard. He had a brown bag in his hand containing marijuana, and a substance that is likely meth. He was cited for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
