5 ways John Wall and Bradley Beal can repair their relationship

3. Movie marathon
Movies are a bit of shorthand for the human experience, condensing morals, values, and life lessons into disposable and engaging nuggets. For two guys trying to figure out how to make a friendship work, turning to some famous cinematic friendships might be just the way to go. The obvious place to start is the buddy cop comedy and there is more than a little “Riggs” and “Murtaugh” in Wall and Beal. However, it would serve them well to think a little outside the box and venture into other genres as well.
Harry Potter, Ron Weasely, and Hermione Granger grew up together over the course of eight movies. Their friendship was deep and unconditional but not without it’s rocky points. Theirs is an extended example of how to get over the little hurts along the way, to struggle through immeasurable obstacles, to deal with loss, and to find comfort in each other. It’s a commitment, watching all eight Harry Potter movies, back to back. But if Wall and Beal could find the time (and the snacks) to make it through the entire series, that elusive Eastern Conference title could be as close as the Golden Snitch.
If they feel too strongly that the books are better than the movies and don’t want to ruin the experience, Superbad makes for a nice alternative.
