Everything you need to know about how to watch Packers at 49ers online in the 2016 NFL preseason

Even in just the NFL preseason, you can get a sense where teams stand. Some teams are sticking with the status quo heading into a new season. Other teams around the league are thinking about major improvements. Then there are those teams looking solemnly into the abyss that is their upcoming season. Two teams in vastly different places on that spectrum meet up on Friday in Week 3 of the 2016 NFL preseason. The Green Bay Packers will travel to Levi’s Stadium to take on the ailing San Francisco 49ers.

When it comes to the Green Bay Packers, it’s been consistent greatness. Even if Aaron Rodgers doesn’t suit up on Friday night, you know what you’re getting. Still, there are things to watch with this team. You want to see Eddie Lacy still looking spry and in better shape than last season. Moreover, you want to make sure that Clay Matthews and the defense are ready to stay consistent on that side of the ball.

Then there’s the 49ers that are grasping at straws in Year 1 under Chip Kelly. They still have no idea if it’s Blaine Gabbert or Colin Kaepernick at quarterback. However, that’s like picking between eating sand or eating dirt at this point. While Carlos Hyde and Navarro Bowman may be bright spots, this is a team in dire straits. Perhaps they start showing more promise in this matchup with the Packers, but that’s frankly hard to imagine.
